Work began at 6 Platt in early 2012

Construction of a new 30-story hotel began in January 2012 at 6 Platt Street (formerly 217 Pearl Street). Developer Golden Pearl is converting the former parking lot to the high-rise hotel, one of several to be erected in the Financial District since 2001. The tower is expected to be complete in early 2014.
