Construction of the 57-story tower is currently on hold
A new 57-story residential tower is planned for Tribeca. Construction at 56 Leonard Street, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, began in mid-2007 by developer Alexico Group, but is on hold since 2009. The site is located at the corner of Church Street, on the east side of the block shared by New York Law School where a new library was recently built.
