At the corner of Washington and Rector Streets, the McSam Hotel Group is building a new 43-story hotel. Underway since spring 2008, 99 Washington Street is one of several new high-rise developments in the area south of the World Trade Center. Contractror Tritel Construction will build the new hotel, planned as a 370-room Holiday Inn.

Contractor Tritel Construction demolished the building at 99 Washington Street in winter 2007/2008. Construction of the new 43-story tower will begin in April 2008 and continue through August 2010.
