At the corner of Washington and Rector Streets, a new 43-story hotel is planned for the Greenwich South neighborhood. Ninety-nine Washington Street is one of several new high-rise developments in the area south of the World Trade Center. The tower is planned to be a 370-room Holiday Inn.

Contractor Tritel Construction demolished the building at 99 Washington Street in winter 2007/2008. A new construction schedule for the planned 43-story tower will be posted here upon announcement.
