Aerial View of Battery Park City
Since its creation in the 1960s, Battery Park City has grown into one of the most desirable residential enclaves in Manhattan. With only six vacant sites remaining, the community is nearing its final stages of development. Projects currently taking place or planned for Battery Park City include the construction of at least five new residential buildings, the neighborhood's first public library, a women's cultural museum, a community center, and new commercial office space, as well as the addition of dog runs, more greenery, and recreational space throughout the area.
