The project took place in two phases on the north and south sides of the street. Work included construction of a new manhole on the south side of Maiden Lane at Liberty Place, with new electrical ducts installed between that manhole and a vault on the north side of Maiden Lane (just west of Liberty Place). The work was completed in late June 2007.
The work on Maiden Lane was essential electrical work for the area, including the Fulton Street Transit Center’s 4/5 train platforms located under Broadway. Crews installed new ducts to house new power lines and build a new manhole at Liberty Place for future access to those lines.
