he terminal is planned to open in November 2007

The new terminal opened in March 2009

A new, permanent ferry terminal is now open in Battery Park City. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is installed the $50 million terminal outside the World Financial Center, just north of the North Cove.

The new terminal will float on a 32,000-square-foot barge that was constructed in Texas and then traveled to Sunset Park, Brooklyn to be outfitted with its canopy, glass walls, interior amenities, and ramping and operational systems.

The terminal is home to five slips, seating, concessions, and other public amenities, and is operated by BillyBey Ferry Company.
