Since its September 2002 launch, LowerManhattan.info has served as a one-stop site for downtown construction and community information. From daily construction updates to email alerts to Lower Manhattan news and events, this guide will help direct you to the latest rebuilding details for New York's most historic and vibrant neighborhood.
Traffic, Transit, and Rebuilding Advisories
Visit our "Get It Fast" page for a quick list of this week's travel advisories and short- and long-term traffic changes throughout Lower Manhattan's neighborhoods. Links to the latest air monitoring updates are also posted here.
For a full list of the latest traffic changes, transit alerts, and more, visit our Advisories page.
Air Monitoring
Up-to-date reports on downtown's multiple air-monitoring stations are available in our air monitoring programs section, as well as via the "Get It Fast" air monitoring list. These include links to the LMDC's daily reports for 130 Liberty Street, Fiterman Hall reports, as well as updates from the LMCCC's and EPA's stationary air monitors.
Email Updates
Too busy to visit LowerManhattan.info every day? You can also subscribe to weekly email updates to help get the latest construction, traffic, and transit news, as well as RSS feeds that automatically deliver our new content direct to your computer. It's simple to log on and choose the alerts you prefer.
And in coming weeks, LowerManhattan.info readers also will be able to subscribe to the city's new "Ready New York" program for emergency notification. Those who add their emails and mobile phone numbers can receive urgent notices sent by the Office of Emergency Management via text message and the Internet. A notice about this new service will run on the LowerManhattan.info homepage when it has launched.
