Robert
N. Harvey

Prior to joining the LMCCC, Robert N. Harvey, P.E., was vice president
and general manager of Washington Group International
(also president/CEO of Washington Infrastructure Corporation
-- New York). Washington Group International is a $3
billion engineering and construction company. He had
responsibility for the New York office with Northeast
and additional large international and homeland security
projects responsibilities.
Harvey brings to the LMCCC more than 30 years of experience
in corporate and project management, design, and construction
for major transportation and commercial facilities projects
throughout greater New York, the United States, and
internationally. Harvey began his career working in
his family’s construction company outside Boston,
MA, moving on to work in several top executive positions
in large program management, engineering consulting,
and construction firms. He also has served for more
than 10 years with the Port Authority of New York and
New Jersey directing the executive office of capital
program/value management for the delivery of its $9
billion Capital Program. Prior to the Port Authority,
Harvey ran international project development and project
management research to increase the effectiveness of
delivery of mega projects for Exxon.
Harvey participated in response efforts for both the
1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and the September
11th terrorist attacks. In acknowledgement of his efforts,
he received metals for heroism and distinguished service
from the Port Authority and was part of the New York
New Visions team that received an award from the New
York Building Congress for pro bono work related to
September 11th. Harvey’s experience in security
analysis led to his participation in key governmental
and industry studies following each terrorist event
sponsored by the Port Authority, the Metropolitan Transit
Authority, and several federal governmental, private,
and international entities. He also has lectured at
several colleges and universities and served on the
board of the New York Building Congress.
A licensed civil/structural engineer in many states,
Harvey holds the following academic credentials:
