The web and marketing department spearheads the strategic direction of the LowerManhattan.info website, taking the lead in refining and enhancing usability and content approach. LowerManhattan.info is designed, developed, and managed by Edelman Worldwide, a global communications firm, and Company 39, Inc, a global technology solutions firm. The site is hosted by Company 39, Inc., and site content  is provided by Edelman Worldwide in conjunction with partner agencies at the local, state, and federal level.

The web and marketing department creates and is responsible for ensuring a cohesive brand identity for Lower Manhattan construction and related efforts across all marketing elements, including the web, signage, advertising, related collateral, and events.

The web and marketing department also creates and implements outreach programs to communicate with various stakeholder audiences, including residents, corporate and retail businesses, visitors, and tourists. It also develops and administers marketing and related databases, including mailing lists and external marketing and website services vendor and consultant lists.

The web and marketing department also oversees the management of the web service provider and consultant contracts.
