12 Warren Street Construction Begins

12 Warren Street demolition and construction work began in early 2013
12 Warren Street demolition and construction work began in early 2013

The five-story brick building at 12 Warren Street is now under demolition, with crews completing interior removals and deconstruction through March 2013. Developer-architects DDG Partners launched the project this month, with plans to replace the former commercial structure with a new 12-story, LEED-certified residential building. The developer plans to build 24 duplex units at the site, located between Broadway and Church Street, and include green-roof and irrigated exterior planter systems.

Once demolition ends, foundation work will follow through early summer, and superstructure erection through approximately late 2013. Completion of the new 12 Warren Street is expected in early 2015.
