At the site of the future Pace University dormitory, demolition of 180-182 Broadway at the southeast corner of John Street concluded in late August. Crews are now clearing remaining debris from the site, with foundation construction upcoming through approximately December 2012. Erection of the 24-story superstructure will follow through August 2012.
In order to perform additional work at the site, crews plan to close John Street from Broadway to Nassau on Saturday, September 3rd from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contractor Tishman Construction is coordinating its work on the new dormitory with the MTA’s Fulton Street Transit Center project, where Corbin Building restoration also is active at the same corner.
