180 Broadway requires intermittent John Street closures for facade work

Brick facade work on the new dormitory building at 180 Broadway is nearing completion, and now crews are beginning to complete lower-level glass installation. The work will require intermittent full closures of John Street from Broadway to Nassau Street for boom lift operations, permitted by the city Department of Transportation for weekdays through approximately December 31st, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pedestrian walkways will be maintained at all times.

Crews continue to make steady progress to complete the 24-story Pace University dormitory and retail building in time for the start of the January 2013 semester, though students will not move in until summer 2013. The temporary certificate of occupancy is anticipated in December 2012.
