2 WTC Truck Activity Ramps Up at Vesey Street

Crews are now erecting sub-grade steel
Crews are now erecting sub-grade steel

This week, truck activity began to increase at the site of 2 World Trade Center (WTC), located inside the WTC fence along Vesey Street. To safely accommodate the truck access, pedestrians on Vesey between West Broadway and Church Street may experience brief periodic delays, or re-routing to Barclay Street one block north. The intermittent delays allow trucks to make deliveries to the Tower 2 site, where crews from Turner Construction are now erecting sub-grade steel. The  city Department of Transportation, developer Silverstein Properties, and WTC owner the Port Authority are collaborating to minimize pedestrian disruption, and have posted flagpersons at multiple locations to safely redirect pedestrians as needed.
