Two public meetings regarding the WTC site are being held this week
|
On Wednesday, January 28th and Thursday, January 29th, Assemblyman Sheldon Silver is sponsoring two meetings for the 130 Liberty Street deconstruction project and World Trade Center (WTC) site redevelopment. Both meetings will be held at 250 Broadway on the 19th floor and are open to the public.
The first public information meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 28th at 6 p.m., and address the 130 Liberty Street/Deutsche Bank decontamination and deconstruction project. Speakers include representatives from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) and environmental regulators, who will report on the progress at building and answer questions.
At 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 29th, there will be an state assembly hearing on the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan and the WTC site. Scheduled to testify are: Chris Ward of the Port Authority, Larry Silverstein of Silverstein Properties, Avi Schick of the LMDC, and Bob Harvey of the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center.
