Brooklyn Bridge Overnight Lane Reductions

Work is scheduled to begin Friday, October 31
Work is scheduled to begin Friday, October 31

The city Department of Transportation is performing work on the Brooklyn Bridge that may require overnight lane closures. The work is planned for Friday, October 31st through Sunday November 30th. During this time, two Brooklyn-bound lanes may be closed from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., and two Manhattan-bound lanes may be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. The lane closures allow crews to replace the bridge’s four “travelers,” the movable platforms attached to the underside of the span, used for inspection and maintenance. Questions can be addressed to the project’s community liaison Hugh Smith at (718) 254-8816 ext. 200.
