Brooklyn Bridge Work Closes Drumgoole Park

The closure was necessary access the ramp and to ensure safety

The Brooklyn Bridge rehabilitation project includes repair of ramp A, which connects the FDR Drive to the bridge. To access the ramp and ensure safety around the work areas, the city Department of Transportation has closed Drumgoole Park, located at the corner of Gold and Frankfort Streets. The project team plans to keep the park closed while overhead work on the ramp continues, and will reopen it as the earliest possible date.

The Brooklyn Bridge rehabilitation project began in spring 2010 and continues through 2014. More information is available here at the DOT’s website, or by contacting community liaison Sabrina Lau at 718.260.8909 or brooklynbridgeoutreach@gmail.com.
