A crane lift will bring weekend closures to Centre Street

A crane lift at 1 Centre Street will bring a full road closure to Centre Street between Chambers and Reade Streets this weekend. The closure will begin Friday, February 15th at 10 p.m. and continue through Sunday at approximately 10 p.m. (or earlier). Chambers Street also will be temporarily made one-way; it will be eastbound from Broadway to Centre Street from Friday at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m., then remain one-way westbound for the duration of the crane-lift operation.

The closure and traffic reversals are being coordinated with the Brooklyn Bridge rehabilitation project, and are permitted by the city Department of Transportation.
