Church Street PATH Entrance Closed

The new entrance will be in use for the next several years
The new entrance will be in use for the next several years

The temporary World Trade Center (WTC) PATH entrance on Church Street closed Friday, April 11. PATH riders are redirected to the new north entrance on Vesey Street at West Broadway for the next several years while excavation for and construction of the permanent WTC Transportation Hub takes place.

The new Vesey Street entrance has an elevator, escalators and stairs. However, the Church Street entrance closure means elevator access to the E subway station also will no longer be available.

The nearest subway stations with elevator access are: 4/5 Bowling Green, 4/5/6 Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, and 6 Canal Street. Riders may also take the M6 bus on Church Street at Vesey Street, uptown to the West 4th Street station (A/C/E/B/D/F/V trains). The bus does not operate between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. If you require wheelchair accessible service between those hours call New York City Transit’s Bus command Center at: 718-927-7862. New elevator access at the 1/2/3 Chambers Street station is expected to open in fall 2008.
