With the new seven-story condominium now topped out at 137 Franklin Street, crews are now beginning to install the facade. Contractor Avo Construction will begin occupying an additional lane of Varick Street for the crane, which will lift pre-cast brick panels and other facade materials into place on the building. Crane operations are permitted on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., through late July.

Located on a slender lot at the corner of Franklin and Varick and across the street from Finn Square, the new condo building will join several new residences that join the Historic District style of Tribeca. Architecture firm StudioMDA designed the structure to blend with the neighborhoods vintage style, and consists of one triplex and two duplex condos. Construction is slated for completion in late 2012.
