Dey Street final repaving is planned for the weekend of August 4th and 5th
|
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will complete its repaving of Dey Street from Broadway to Church Street on Saturday, August 4th between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., and Sunday, August 5th between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Vehicular traffic will be permitted when the work is not being performed, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. The repaving will complete the street work associated with the Dey Street entry house construction, located at the corner of Broadway and Dey. The entry house was expected to open on July 31st, but is now delayed to late September 2012.
Inside the Fulton Center, the renovated stairway between the A/C and J/Z subway platforms is slated to reopen on Thursday, August 2nd. At the foot of the Corbin Building, a new station entrance and escalators to the 4/5 platform are still planned to open at the end of 2012.
All MTA Fulton Center construction is being coordinated with the citys Broadway 1 capital street reconstruction project, set to begin in summer 2013.
