East Lane of Broadway Closed at Dey Street

Broadway east lane closure begins August 11th
Broadway east lane closure begins August 11th

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) crews are making steady progress building the new subway headhouse to connect to the future Dey Street Concourse. To accommodate adjacent 4/5 subway roof-repair work, on August 11th they will close the east lane of Broadway at Dey Street. Crews will work in the sidewalk just south of Dey, diverting pedestrians into a protected walkway in the east curb lane. Two traffic lanes on Broadway will be maintained during the project, which is expected to be complete in October 2008. It is part of the Fulton Street Transit Center construction.
