Fiterman Hall Steel Rising Above Street Level

The new building will house CUNY classrooms and other BMCC
The new building will house CUNY classrooms and other BMCC

Steel columns are now visible at the site of the new 16-story Fiterman Hall, located at 30 West Broadway at Barclay Street. With foundation work to wrap up by November, construction manager Hunter-Roberts is starting to focus on superstructure erection. A tower crane will go up at the site over the next week, and steel deliveries to the site will become more regular. The construction follows the six-month-long deconstruction of the original Fiterman Hall, which was badly damaged on September 11, 2001. The new building will house CUNY classrooms and other BMCC facilities when it opens in fall 2012.
