A weekend crane lift will close the block outside 138 Fulton Street

A crane operation on Fulton Street will close the block between William and Gold Streets this weekend. At 138 Fulton Street, crews will lift a new cooling tower to the buildings roof, closing that block on Saturday, July 28th, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as on July 29th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. if necessary. A walkway is expected to be maintained, but vehicular traffic will be detoured to Beekman Street. The building also is getting a Tier 3 makeover as part of the citys Fulton Crossroads program, which should be complete by early September.
