Two lanes of traffic on Hudson will be maintained at all times

The Hudson Street Trunk Main project is nearing the end of Phase II operations, and the city Department of Design and Construction plans to begin the final phase of construction with new traffic patterns in place. These changes will be implemented in three stages concurrently, beginning approximately Saturday, May 12th:

  • The existing MPT will be reduced to the east side of Hudson Street between Laight Street and Exit 2 of the Holland Tunnel.
  • The work zone MPT Hudson Street between Beach and N. Moore will be relocated to the east side, from N. Moore to Thomas Street.
  • A new construction zone will be located on N. Moore between Hudson and Greenwich Street. One lane of West bound traffic will be maintained.

Two northbound traffic lanes will be maintained on Hudson Street. The expected duration of this phase of work is approximately two years.
