Four of Nevelson's statues are returning this weekend

This weekend, four large bronze sculptures by Louise Nevelson will be returned to the public plaza named for her. The reinstallation of the four works by crane requires the full closure of Liberty Street between William and Gold Streets on Saturday, August 21st from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, August 22nd from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The rebuilt Nevelson plaza, part of the city’s Liberty Street Reconstruction project, is planned to reopen in October 2010.
