The closure will accomodate demolition and construction

A new school is coming to 55 Battery Place in Battery Park City (BPC). To accommodate demolition and construction at the site, the M9 southbound and the M20 northbound bus stops will be removed on Battery Place between 1st and 2nd Place by August 1, 2008. The nearest stops for both buses are one block south on Battery Place. Construction of the new, eight-story school, developed by the New York City School Construction Authority, is expected to continue through summer 2010
