Charles Maikish is stepping down as the LMCCC Executive Director

Charles Maikish announced Friday, April 13th, that he plans to resign from his position as executive director of the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center. He will leave the agency on or before July 15, 2007. In announcing his resignation, Maikish said, "I have fulfilled my two-year commitment to the Mayor and the Governor in establishing the Command Center, which is overseeing the WTC construction site and the coordination of 60 other construction projects below Canal Street." Maikish is leaving his post to return to the private sector. His replacement has not yet been named.
