Month-Long Closure on Hudson at Chambers Street

The closure will be in place for approximately four weeks
The closure will be in place for approximately four weeks

Hudson Street will remain closed between Chambers and Reade Streets for Metropolitan Transportation Authority crews to continue elevator installation at the 1/2/3 Chambers Street subway station. The new elevator will link the street to the station mezzanine, and is one of three new lifts being installed at the station -- the other two will link the mezzanine to both the uptown and downtown platforms.

The closure coincides with a new MPT plan at the corner of West Broadway and Chambers (outside Starbucks) where crews will repair the station roof and rehabilitate the stairway (read more here).
