Nassau Closure Begins for Capital Reconstruction

This work is part of the city's Fulton Corridor Phase 2 project
This work is part of the city's Fulton Corridor Phase 2 project

On Monday, January 25, 2010, the city Department of Design and Construction launched the capital reconstruction of Nassau Street. Work began between Fulton and Ann Streets, closing that roadway to vehicles for approximately three months, through April 2010. Contractor Trocom Construction will mass excavate the roadway to upgrade utilities below, install new curbs, catch basins, and sidewalks. Crews will work weekdays, with some night and weekend work as necessary to expedite the project; intersection work will take place only on weekends.

This work is part of the city’s Fulton Corridor Phase 2 project. The work will shift to Nassau from Ann to Spruce later in 2010. Contact project liaison Liz Baptiste at (212) 608-2232 for more information.
