The former parking lot is currently enclosed by fencing

Construction of a new 30-story hotel is beginning this month at 217 Pearl Street, at Platt Street. Foundation work mobilized in mid-January and is slated to continue through approximately April 2012. Superstructure erection will follow through early 2013, with the hotel expected to open in early 2014. The former parking lot is currently enclosed by fencing, with a sidewalk closure on Platt Street and one lane occupied on Pearl Street outside the site.
