A new Marriott Hotel is beginning construction

At the intersection of Henry and Pike in Chinatown, a new seven-story Marriott Hotel is under construction at 95 Henry Street. Work on the building began in spring 2010, and contractor United Construction plans to complete it approximately summer 2012. Architect Michael Yang designed the hotel, which occupies the full block of Pike Street between Henry and East Broadway. Foundation work there continues through approximately November 2010, with superstructure work planned through spring 2010. The hotel is currently scheduled to open in summer 2012.
