The 2013 NYC Half Marathon is March 17th

The 2013 New York City Half-Marathonis taking place on Sunday, March 17th, and will be closing several major streets in Lower Manhattan between 5 a.m. and approximately 12:30 p.m. Construction also will be embargoed along the route starting at 12:01 am on March 15 through 11:59 pm on March 17, 2013, at these locations:
- Central Park Loop
- 7 Avenue between 59 Street and 42 Street
- 42 Street between 7 Avenue and West Side Highway
- West Side Highway (southbound) between 44 Street and Battery Park Underpass
- Battery Park Underpass between West Side Highway (southbound) and FDR Drive - South Street Exit
- Old Slip between South and Water Street
- Water Street between Old Slip and Wall Street
- Water (Pearl) Street between Wall Street and Peck Slip
- Fulton Street between Front and South Street
- Fulton Street between Water and Gold Street
An estimated 15,000 runners participate in the annual half-marathon. The race begins in Central Park at 7:30 a.m. on March 17th, with its final segment along Water Street and finish line at Maiden Lane.
