Pedestrian Passage Closes for Goldman Canopy Work

Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted intermittently
Pedestrian traffic will be rerouted intermittently

The façade of the new Goldman Sachs Headquarters is quickly rising at 200 West Street, and on Monday, October 13th crews will begin installing a canopy on the tower’s west side. The steel-and-glass canopy will cover the pedestrian plaza between the new tower and the Embassy Suites Hotel. Crews will perform the work over the course of six months, working above the sidewalk shed there. The sidewalk will remain open, although pedestrian traffic will be closed and rerouted on both Vesey and Murray Streets intermittently when steel is lifted into place.
