Rector Street Utility Work Extended

Work will continue through the end of the month
Work will continue through the end of the month

The state Department of Transportation’s (SDOT) utility work on Rector Street, between West and Washington, will continue through the end of the month. However, the roadway will be plated and temporarily reopened on November 21st, 22nd, and 26th to help maintain weekend traffic flow. SDOT crews there are rebuilding a manhole, part of the Promenade South Segment 2 project.

Meanwhile, final roadway restoration continues nearby on West Street for the next two or three weekends. SDOT crews will work from 5 a.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Monday on West between J.P. Ward and Albany Street, closing a single northbound lane to complete the repaving work. SDOT reconstruction of the highway, also known as State Route 9A, continues in several other locations around the World Trade Center area under the Promenade South Segment 2 work.
