Staple Street Full Closure for Renovation Project

Renovations at 7 Harrison Street begin in September 2012
Renovations at 7 Harrison Street begin in September 2012

A major interior and facade renovation project is beginning at 7 Harrison Street, and with it, the one-block stretch of Staple Street is closed as of September 3rd, for the duration of the project, approximately two years. The building is located in Tribeca on Harrison Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets, at the southwest corner of Staple Street. The narrow street will be used for a construction hoist and as a materials and equipment loading dock, with deliveries planned during regular work hours only. The east sidewalk of Staple Street will remain open, and extra lighting will be maintained there. Emergency-vehicle access also will be maintained. Project completion is expected in September 2014.
