Alliance for Downtown New York to host tax seminar
|
"In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes." Benjamin Franklin's words may still ring true, but the Alliance for Downtown New York will host a seminar on Thursday, March 13, designed to help simplify tax preparation for Lower Manhattan businesses.
"Tax Benefits for Lower Manhattan," a seminar for the tax preparers and accountants of businesses in Lower Manhattan, will examine the details of Liberty Zone tax benefits, taxability of grants and other tax benefits specific to businesses downtown. The seminar will be held on Thursday, March 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, located at 102 North End Avenue. Attendance is limited, and those interested in participating are asked to please RSVP by March 12 to Kelly Braffet by email, kbraffet@downtownny.com, or phone, (212) 835-2773.
This seminar is made possible by a grant from the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CPAs in attendance will be eligible for two hours of CPE credits.
