Temporary Reversal of New Street Starts June 16

With construction now underway at 40 Broad Street, developer Newmark Construction is working with the city Department of Transportation to temporarily reverse New Street between Beaver and Broad Streets. Starting Monday, June 16th, the reversal makes that block of New Street northbound for approximately four weeks. Located entirely within the New York Stock Exchange security zone, the traffic change allows crews to alter construction-ramp access on the west side of the building. Construction work at 40 Broad Street includes converting the existing office building to residences and adding five stories. It is scheduled for completion in September 2008.
