The closure will be in place for approximately four weeks

On the morning of June 26th, the state Department of Transportation will close Warren Street to through traffic west of West Street in Battery Park City (BPC). The closure is part of the 9A/West Street Promenade Segment 2 project, and allows crews to perform utility work at and reconstruct the Warren and West Street intersection. One crosswalk across West Street will remain open, and access to P.S. 89/I.S. 89 Liberty School and the BPC ball fields will be maintained. The closure will be in place for approximately four weeks, through late July 2008. Motorists should use Chambers Street as an alternate route.
