This will impact traffic overnight and on weekends through mid-February

Starting February 3rd, the state Department of Transportation will begin water-main installation at the intersection of West Street (Route 9A) and Chambers Street. To perform the work, crews will reduce Chambers Street (from Greenwich to West) to two-way alternate traffic overnight and on weekends through mid-February, as managed by NYPD Traffic Enforcement Agents. Weeknight work hours are from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through February 12th; weekend work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through February 14th. SDOT advises motorists to use alternate routes to avoid congested areas during work hours.
