Work Shifts to North Side of Park Place

The entire project is expected to be complete in 2009
The entire project is expected to be complete in 2009

The first phase of Park Place reconstruction is wrapping up, as crews restore the south side of the roadway between West Broadway and Church Street. That section has been rebuilt with new utilities, including a new water main, and crews will begin utility work on the north side of the street on Monday, April 21st, with one traffic lane open on the south side of the roadway.

The north-side reconstruction also includes night work at the Church Street intersection. It will continue through September 2008, then continue eastward between Church and Broadway.

Related roadway reconstruction work is also taking place on Beekman Street between Nassau and William Streets through late summer 2008. That work will extend to Park Row by the end of the year.
