The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation launched a podcast series, featuring interviews with the creators of the planned Memorial Museum on its website, http://www.buildthememorial.org/. The podcasts, which include interviews and first-hand accounts from those affected by the terrorist attacks on September 11th, will ine day be included in the museum exhibits.

The podcasts include conversations with WTC Memorial Museum Director Alice Greenwald and retired New York City firefighter and 9/11 survivor Lieutenant Mickey Kross. New podcasts will be posted every month and can be downloaded onto MP3 players or into iTunes. The first podcast covers Greenwald's vision; in it she expresses the urgency and long-term significance of the message that will be conveyed through the Memorial Museum.

"The Memorial Museum podcast series will inform and educate people around the world about ongoing plans to develop the Memorial and Museum and will feature personal stories of courage, compassion, tragic loss, renewal and hope from those directly affected by the events of September 11th," Greenwald said in a statement. "Through this podcast series, we are creating a comprehensive historical record for the Memorial Museum which will document the story of September 11th. This documentation is an important part of honoring the lives lost, paying permanent tribute to those who acted with courage to save others, and providing comfort and compassion to individuals, families, communities, and a nation in grief," she continued.
