  New York City Bicycle Network

  To encourage cycling as an environmentally friendly, healthy form of transportation, the city DOT is installing bicycle lanes as part of its three-year 200-lane-mile commitment, launched in 2006. More than 80 cycling lane miles have been installed to date. Completion of the city's 1,800-mile bicycle master plan is scheduled by 2030.

Rebuilding
  Cortlandt Street R/W Station Southbound Platform Closed

  MTA New York City Transit has temporarily closed the southbound platform of the Cortlandt Street R/W station in August 2005, for work to support the Fulton Street Transit Center and World Trade Center Transportation Hub projects. The platform will likely reopen in September 2011 (pending WTC reconstruction progress).

The station's northbound platform reopened on November 25, 2009.

Morning Service
Downtown-Only- Passenger drop-offs begin at Battery Place and continue as buses proceed north on Church Street. All Command bus stops will be marked and are as follows:

1. Battery Place between Washington and Greenwich Street
2. Trinity Place between Exchange Alley and Edgar Street
3. Church Street between Liberty and Cortland Street
4. Church Street between Vesey and Barclay Street
5. Church Street and Worth Street

Manhattan all-stops buses will travel along Church Street to Park Place, turn right onto Park Place and follow it to Broadway, turn right onto Broadway and proceed past Park Row, Beekman, Frankfort, and Pearl Street to the FDR Drive, where they will continue to midtown. The inbound all-stops buses will drop off at the same locations as the downtown-only bus except for the Worth Street stop.

Afternoon Service
All-stops buses operate south on Water Street to Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel making the following stops:

1. Pearl Street and Peck Slip (in front of 299 Pearl Street)
2. Water Street between Wall Street and Pine Street
3. Water Street between Coenties Slip and Broad Street
4. Battery Place between Washington and Greenwich Street

Downtown-Only
Downtown-only buses will travel along Park Place to Broadway, along Broadway to Park Row, along Park Row to Frankfort Street, and along Frankfort Street to Water Street. Turning south on Water Street, the buses will continue to the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel. Passenger pick-up locations are as follows:

Queens Surface QM1/1A and Triboro Coach QM11 and QM24 buses have returned to their traditional lower Manhattan routes, although the buses, which normally turn right on Vesey Street, will continue north on Church Street to Park Place until Vesey Street is reopened. The buses turn right on Park Place, right on Broadway, and then left at Park Row, returning to their regular route.

  STATEN ISLAND FERRY
All Staten Island Ferry service remains free to the public. There are absolutely no vehicles allowed on the ferry until further notice.

Boats from St. George Terminal in Staten Island run every 20 minutes between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., every 15 minute from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and then every 30 minutes until the evening rush hour. Boats depart every 20 minutes from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., every 15 minutes from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and then resume a 30-minute schedule.

Ferries from Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan operate every 20 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and every 15 minutes from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Boats are on a half-hour schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For evening rush hour, boats run every 20 minutes from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., every 15 minutes from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and every 20 minutes from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. After 8:00 p.m., boats run every hour.

The Staten Island Ferry runs every 25 to 30 minutes during weekends and holidays.

Upper and lower levels opened at Whitehall Terminal for loading and unloading passengers.
